Hi, I’m Daniel! I’m someone with a lot of interests, one of which has recently turned into a bit of an obsession with sustainable materials and how the things around my house are actually made. I mostly work as a freelancer in online marketing, but I’m also into photography, building websites like this one, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
In 2013, while studying in the US at Colorado State University, I discovered my love for photography and website building. I worked hard to develop my skills in these areas and eventually used them to support myself financially.
As I’ve said, I’ve been recently drawn toward materials and how they hold up over time. This started with something small, replacing a few things in my kitchen and bedroom, and turned into genuine curiosity about what actually makes a product worth buying. I’m also a big reader of product reviews and manufacturing breakdowns, which has helped me get better at spotting real quality versus good marketing.
When I’m not writing or researching materials, you can find me exploring new places with my camera, hitting the gym, cycling, or hiking. I believe in staying curious about the everyday things we use, since small choices add up over time.
I hope to help others make smarter choices about what they bring into their homes, while also staying practical about it. I’m excited to keep learning, testing new products, and sharing what I find along the way.
